My Collection Complaint

I had a problem with a collection company putting a negative mark on my credit for something that was already paid. It was an account with Capital One Bank.

I did go to collections for non-payment but had taken care of this with Capital One. However somehow the collections were saying I had a second account with them which wasn't the case.

I have been looking online for assistance and advice but now am filing a complaint with the FTC.

Mom's Comments: Joanne, that is great that you are taking the steps to resolve the situation. It is so important that you make sure that you get it resolved..

It might be worthwhile to get a legitimate credit repair company involved. They have experience with situations such as these and know how to handle an issue such as yours.
